Terms & Conditions

DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS

A. Deposit Fees
ROOMS:
$200 per person at time of booking (including children).
EXCEPTIONS:  CAYO ESPANTO, MONTPELIER PLANTATION, JOLLY BEACH
FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE 60 DAYS PRIOR TO TRAVEL.

WEDDING/ROMANCE PACKAGES:
FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS OF BOOKING.

B. Accepted Forms of Payment
ASK ME ABOUT, LLC (ASK ME...) will accept agency check and the following credit cards: VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER as valid forms of payment for bookings made through the web site or reservation center.  AMERCIAN EXPRESS will be accepted, however, there will be an additional 5% service charge accrued on total sales.

ASK ME... Reserves the right to modify this policy based on booking agency status and prior credit approval.

C. Payment Policies
Bookings made 60+ days prior to departure require a deposit as determined by the system - usually $200 per person, and 50% of Romance Packages - with Final Payment due 60 days prior to travel. 
Bookings made within 60 days of travel will require full payment at time of booking. 
Bookings made using published airfares require immediate deposit and full payment of airfare.
(The deposit amount will be determined by the hotel and airfare selected)

If deposit is not Received by Deposit Due Date, booking will cancel at 11:00pm EDT.
If payment is being made for a deposit or final payment on due date, credit card is the only acceptable form of payment.
All Payments must be received by ASK ME... in order for Documents TO BE RELEASED.

 

PAYMENT PROCEDURES/POLICIES

A. Credit Card
YOUR CLIENTS’ CREDIT CARD CHARGE WILL APPEAR AS "ASK ME ABOUT".  Please advise clients accordingly.

B. Checks
Only agency checks will be accepted.

C. Mailing Address for Payments by Check
You MUST first post payment online and then send check to:

Please be sure to write your ASK ME... reference number on your agency check to ensure that the payment is applied to the correct booking.

 

LATE BOOKING FEE

Bookings made less than 30 days prior to departure will be subject to an additional fee of $30, which will be added to the Total Price under Misc Fees.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND REVISIONS

A. Cancellation Charges

45 DAYS OR LESS Prior to Travel    100% LOSS

We strongly urge clients to purchase trip cancellation insurance. 
Airline tickets are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

B. Revisions/Modifications

  • There will be a $50 PER CHANGE FEE for any modification/revision if documents have not been issued (usually 45 days prior to travel).
  • If documents need to be reissued a Document Re-Issue fee of $100 will be charged over and above the afore-mentioned revision fees plus any additional fees imposed by the hotel and/or airlines as selected in your itinerary.


NOT INCLUDED IN PACKAGE PRICE


While traveling your clients may incur additional expenses that are not included in the package price, including, but not limited to the following items A-D below:

A. Tipping and Porterage: Our package price does not include porterage at airport and hotels; tips to local representatives, sightseeing guides, restaurant employees, hotel bellmen and chambermaids; wines, liquors, laundry or any other items of a personal nature as well as any items not specifically mentioned within itinerary. Tipping is left to your clients’ discretion.

B. Car, Moped or Scooter Rental: Car rental rates for packages that include a car do not include gasoline, taxes, optional insurance, CDW, underage and additional driver charges or airport charges. These charges are payable to the car rental company directly.

C. Local Taxes and Service Charges: Local room tax, energy surcharges and service charges on room and meals are not included unless specified. Taxes and service charges are based on the hotel’s daily room tariff and not on the land package price. Local governments may impose additional taxes including, but not limited to, departure taxes which may not be included in the package price.

D. Flight Delays: Airlines are not required by law to pay for en route expenses, meals, hotels, taxis, and phone calls if your clients’ flight is delayed for any reason.


REFUNDS FOR UNUSED SERVICES


Unused hotel nights are refundable only if they cover a minimum of two consecutive nights and only to the extent that ASK ME... receives refund from the hotels, after deducting cancellation charges levied by hotel, if any. Unused transfers and/or sightseeing tours included in the basic tours will only be refunded only to the extent that ASK ME... receives a refund from the supplier. To get a prompt refund for unused services, clients must submit to their travel agent written proof from the hotel or other operator that services were unused and are refundable. A copy of the checkout bill will help to expedite the processing of any refund due, if applicable. If no proof is furnished, a refund may be made pending an investigation, which may take up to three months. TO BE ACCEPTED, ALL REFUND CLAIMS MUST BE PRESENTED NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS AFTER THE TRIP HAS ENDED. All refund claims must be submitted in writing to: ASK ME ABOUT, LLC, 7168-B SW 47th STREET, MIAMI, FL 33155.        
ASK ME... cannot accept faxed refund requests. No refund or adjustment will be made for any changes, cancellations or modifications of services provided in this itinerary, if such changes are made by the tour participant during the tour.   Travel agent's commission is not protected on any cancelled or refunded bookings.


PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP

 

ASK ME... recommends a valid passport since some destinations now accept passports only! U.S. CITIZENS MAY CONTACT THE U.S. PASSPORT AGENCY IN WASHINGTON DC AT (202) 647-0518 FOR INFORMATION. Married or divorced women traveling under names other than what appears on their travel documents must supply a marriage license and/or divorce decree. Single parents traveling with children or children traveling alone will require special documentation. MINORS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE TRAVELING TO MEXICO OR THE CARIBBEAN, MUST TRAVEL WITH THE CONSENT OF BOTH PARENTS. If a minor is traveling to Mexico or to the Caribbean with only one parent, the parent must present a notarized letter of consent from the absent parent or a copy of the legal document giving that parent sole custody. If the absent parent is deceased, a copy of the death certificate is necessary. If a minor is traveling to Mexico or the Caribbean without legal parents, a notarized letter of consent must be submitted and signed by the legal parents. It is the traveler’s responsibility to provide proper documentation. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE IF IMPROPER DOCUMENTATION RESULTS IN DENIED BOARDING OR ENTRY. If the client is not a U.S. citizen, ASK ME... recommends that they check with the consulate of the country they are traveling to for full entry requirements (Visas may be required in addition to passports). All passengers are now required to carry some form of official photo identification. Requirements may change so we recommend that any immigration requirements be verified with the tourist office or consulate before the client travels.

HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS

ASK ME... has no special knowledge of and shall not be liable for, hazardous conditions at international destinations, including, but not limited to, weather hazards, health hazards, unsafe conditions, suppliers’ bankruptcies or the suitability for disabled persons of any portion of the tour. For information regarding possible dangers at international destinations (outside of the U.S.), you may contact the Travel Warning Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225. For medical information, you may contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at (800) 311-3435.

 

ASK ME...’ PRE-TRAVEL PROTECTION WAIVER ($69 per person): PENDING

Pre-existing condition waiver available (additional $9 per person).
We strongly recommend our Travel Protection Plan to safeguard travelers against cancellation charges and additional expenses they may incur before and after the departure of their trip. ASK ME...’s Travel Protection Plan covers the following:

  • Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance covering up to the total tour cost for accidental injury, sickness, death, jury duty, fire or flood to home and other covered reasons.
  • Travel Delay covering up to $100 of additional expenses if your clients trip is delayed for 12 or more hours for Carrier delay, including bad weather and other covered reasons.
  • Medical Expense coverage providing payments of up to $1,500 for emergency treatment of an illness or injury.
  • Baggage and Baggage Delay Insurance covering up to $200 for lost or stolen baggage and personal effects during your clients trip and up to $100 if your clients baggage is delayed or misdirected by your clients common carrier for at least 24 hours.
  • Medical Transportation Service will arrange and pay up to $15,000 to move your client to a more appropriate facility if medically necessary.
  • Travel accident coverage by Common Carrier of up $10,000.

In addition, ASK ME...’s Travel Protection Plan includes a 24-hour hotline service, staffed by multilingual coordinators to assist with legal, medical and related problems of an emergency nature. Coverage is provided under master group policies issued by xxxx of xxx, xxx. Coverage is subject to certain restrictions and exclusions. Dive and Ski related injury, sickness, death or emergency evacuation may not be covered. Please call xxx., the plan administrator, at 1-800-xxx-xxxx for full details.


RESPONSIBILITY


ASK ME ABOUT, LLC, 7168-B SW 47th STREET, MIAMI, FL 33155 AND/OR THEIR AGENTS AND OFFICES AND/OR SUPPLIERS OF SERVICES PURSUANT TO, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, THESE ITINERARIES SHALL ACT ONLY AS AGENTS FOR THE PASSENGER IN MAKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR HOTELS, TRANSPORTATION, RESTAURANTS, OR ANY OTHER SERVICE AND DO NOT ASSUME ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY INJURY, DAMAGE, DEATH, LOSS, ACCIDENT OR DELAY TO PERSON OR PROPERTY DUE TO AN ACT OF NEGLIGENCE OF, OR DEFAULT OF, ANY HOTEL, CARRIER, RESTAURANT, COMPANY OR PERSON RENDERING ANY OF THE SERVICES INCLUDED IN THE TOUR, OR BY ACT OF GOD. FURTHER, NO RESPONSIBILITIES ARE ACCEPTED FOR ANY DAMAGE OR DELAY DUE TO SICKNESS, PILFERAGE, LABOR DISPUTES, MACHINERY BREAKDOWN, QUARANTINE, GOVERNMENT RESTRAINTS, WEATHER OR OTHER CAUSE BEYOND THEIR PERSONAL CONTROL. NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ACCEPTED FOR ANY ADDITIONAL EXPENSE, OMISSIONS, DELAYS, RE-ROUTING OR ACTS OF ANY GOVERNMENT OR AUTHORITY. THE AIRLINES CONCERNED ARE NOT TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACT, OMISSION, OR EVENT, DURING THE TIME PASSENGERS ARE NOT ON BOARD THEIR PLANES OR CONVEYANCE. THE PASSAGE CONTRACT IN USE BY THE AIRLINES CONCERNED, WHEN ISSUED, SHALL CONSTITUTE THE SOLE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE AIRLINES AND PURCHASER OF THESE TOURS AND/OR PASSENGER. THE RIGHT IS RESERVED TO WITHDRAW ANY PROGRAM OFFERED HERE AND/OR MAKE SUCH CHANGES IN THE PROGRAM(S) AS MAY BE FOUND DESIRABLE FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE PARTIES AND THE PROPER CARRYING OUT OF TOUR(S). LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SUBSTITUTE ACCOMMODATIONS, IF NECESSARY, DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF ASK ME ABOUT, LLC, SPECIAL REQUESTS SUCH AS ROOM LOCATION, SPECIAL MEALS, OR ASSISTANCE WILL BE COMMUNICATED TO THE APPROPRIATE PARTY, BUT CANNOT BE GUARANTEED BY ASK ME ABOUT, LLC. PRICES ARE BASED ON RATES IN EFFECT (INCLUDING FOREIGN EXCHANGE RATES) AT THE TIME OF POSTING AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. SPECIAL OFFERS MAY BE WITHDRAWN AT ANY TIME.
